Hi, I'm Abigail. I was basically raised in the church since I was four or five. And although I loved God I can't say I really knew God. I mean I loved God the way you love a puppy, your favorite food, or swimming. I didn't really have a relationship with Him though. So when I was in Pueblo I really didn't see the need to have Godly friends or make good decisions and since I seemed like a "good kid" in the church, besides my parents, no one really held me responsible. My best friends where people that weren't saved and just lived their life as they pleased. So I experiment a little but mostly music. No matter what I did my friends thought of me as a the good one so all though they would tell dirty jokes or curse around me, they were really careful about other things like drugs and stuff. It was bad at first, I mean in my eyes it wasn't, but around that time the pueblo church broke away from the big church. So many things happened I just back away. I basically told God I don't want this anymore. I gave up and tried to live my life the way I wanted but I didn't know what I wanted. So I was left struggling with depression, suicide, and guilt. I felt as though I couldn't come back to God. The devil constantly lied to me and I felt like garbage. I Finally got sick of it though and turned to my parents for help. God did a great work in me and He still is. I still have bad days and days that the depression tries to oppress me but I can look to God and He is my savior. He comes not when I feel I can't take anymore but when He knows that through my trail I am closer to the person He wants me to be.

Challenge of the week
We should all challenge ourselves this week. The subject this week shall be an "Act of Faith"
1. Regardless of how scared you are, have faith that if you hand somebody a track, that it will open a window of opportunity to witness to them. Then carry out that faith.
Even if we pass out one track a week, it can still bare fruit, but we should also make it a goal to increase the amont we pass out daily, weekly, or monthly.
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, but he who wins souls is wise" Proverbs 11:30

Newbies
Has anyone noticed that we don't have very many newbies people in our Youth group? Or that there are A LOT of teens in church that don't go to Youth? I think it would be awesome if we started to see new people in Youth every Saturday so invite someone new to Youth every week. Either a friend from school or someone in church. Also encourage people to keep coming and we'll see this Youth group grow :D

They Are Watching You!
Last night in youth Tyler preached that the world is constantly watching us Christians - as soon as people around you find out that you're a Christian, they will speculate your every move. The world views Christians as hypocrites and flakes. In their eyes, when one Christian falls, every Christian falls. What the world doesn't realize is that when we fall, we get back up.
When you witness to your friends, they will criticize you and they might abandon you because you're different. Keep your head up! God has called us to be different and live holy lives. If your friends think you're a hypocrite just because you're a Christian, show them that you're the real deal. And remember - God is on your side.

Gooday Scallywags! Why don't ya Blabber to Yer Mates About Whats Going on this Weekend Aye!
Translation: Hey everybody! Lot's of fun stuff is happening this weekend starting tonight! Tell everyone about it!
Today is friday and you know what that means... BIBLE STUDY! Tonight there's a catch, we are having a fun night-potluck! So bring drinks or a dish to share and be ready to have some fun! (This is happending at both Josh and Alainna's house AND Tyler and Shaunna's house!)
Tomorrow is Saturday and of course, there is Youth at 6:00pm, but it's important that you come to prayer at 5:15pm. You get a chance to really connect with God and meet new people before youth starts.
(This week we are going out to eat for some fellowship after youth, so bring some extra money!)
Sunday there is both morning and evening services at 10:00am and 6:00pm as always, so come ready to hear from God (and bring a friend :-D)!
To bring things to an end, lets see who can answer this question, just comment below:-)
Why did the broccoli invite the mushroom to the party?

Reminder: We have a youth prayer meeting on Tuesday, location...escaped my mind, but call Tyler for details!
So isn't math just plain amazing? I much rather sit down and do math for hours at a time rather than watch football, but that's just me. For all you mathematicians out there, here is a word problem to solve. If you get it correct, then you will get a prize. Post your answer on the blog (with your name) and show your support.
There are 3 chickens crossing the street, chicken 2 and chicken 3 turn around, those two chickens head to the other side of the street. Chicken one crosses the street, then again to reach the opposite side that it just crossed. A box falls off a car into the middle of the street causing chicken 2 to look inside. Once chicken 2 loses interest, it goes back to the side it was on. Is Chicken 1 on the beginning side, or the second side? Is chicken 2 on the beginning side, or the second side? Is chicken 3 on the beginning side, or the second side?
Prizes for those who get it right by Saturday. And to clarify...The last Saturday of January 2011, by the start of youth service, 29th. HAVE FUN!
