Youth Service 5-29-10
If you didn't go to youth tonight you missed out. we started the evening with an amazing song service as usual, then a hilarious skit from Final Word Productions about a lady named Miss Mips who was insulting everyone then Aaron came in and told everybody about Jesus. Mr. Tyler preached about harvesting souls and witnessing to people. There were five steps to get a good "crop" #1. make the soil ready. get rid of all the hard soil that isn't good to plant seeds-Hosea 10:12 #2. plant the seed. tell people about Jesus who are willing to receive Him- Luke8:11 #3. cultivate the crop. take care of it, water it, or continue to talk to the people who received Christ- 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 #4. Harvest the the crop. take it out of the ground- Psalms 126 #5. make ready the crop. prepare it for what you planted it to do, go preach the gospel. When you get saved you get the will of God, which is to see souls saved, and if you're not trying to get others saved you're probably not truly saved yourself. Afterwards we played a couple of games and then went home. Lastly, congratulations to all of the graduates this year!!!

Pronounce it please!
i thought this week we would do jokes instead of riddles!!!
Pronounce it please!: "Two tourists were driving through Louisiana. As they were approaching Natchitoches, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town. They argued back and forth until they stopped for lunch.
As they stood at the counter, one tourist asked the 'blonde' employee: 'Before we order, could you please settle an argument for us? Would you please pronounce where we are at... VERY SLOWLY?'
The blonde girl leaned over the counter and said...
'Burrrrrrrr, Gerrrrrrr, Kiiiiing'"
a blonde, a red head, and a brunett were all taking a trip to the desert. the read head brought water and the blonde asked why. the red head replied " so we don't die of thirst"
then the blonde asked the brunnett why she brought food and the brunnet replied" so we don't starve to death" then the brunett asked the blonde what she brought and she replied" a car door so when it gets hot i can roll the window down."
a police officer stops a blonde for speeding an asks very nicely" can i have your license please?" the blonde replies in a huff " you guys need to get your act together yesterday one of you took my licence and now you want me to show it to you?!?!?!?!?!!?"

Please Pray For...
Please continue to pray for Mr. Mitch Grise. He is still in the hospital and the doctors say that he probably won't be able to work for about 4 months, so keep Mitch and Sue in your prayers, thank you.

Youth Spotlight: Rachel S.
My name is Rachel Surratt. I grew up in my whole life! My 8th grade year I really went all the way for God. I was made fun of because of the church I went to and for telling people about Jesus. That only lasted a year because I was going into high school. I felt the need to be popular by any means. I back-slid my freshman year in high school. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and trying new things, and having a sip of this and that. I thought getting high was the "cool" thing. I had an attitude toward my parents. I hated them! I couldn't stand being around them. I used my mom because I was so wrapped up in fashion. I hated this church and became bitter to people that did me wrong. My plan was to get out when I turned 18, but God got a hold of me. He let me know that He loved me and cared. December '07 I gave my life to God. I lost many friends but God was still there. He restored my family and my relationship with them. My mom is my best friend and I love all of them! I'm now 19, I'm still in this church and serving God! My life hasn't been perfect and I've been through trials and tribulations, but I got up. God's hand has never been too short. I love Him so much! Don't give up on God because He hasn't given up on you!

Here is what to study:
The outpouring of the Holy Ghost at Azusa Street Mission in Los Angeles , California was a revival that occurred in the early twentieth century. It began April 9, 1906 and lasted until 1909. This revival is considered to be the beginning of the modern Pentecostal movement. From it, many Pentecostal denominations were formed and the Holiness-Pentecostal movement spread to the far reaches of the world.
You will probably find enough info on this to talk about for a couple weeks, but we'll try to keep it to one. Look for specific stories that happened during the revival as well; those are always great to hear.
Pray that what you find will stir you to seek God all the more; if you feel a desire to call on God after reading anything you find, then go to your bedroom and do so.
When You said, "Seek My face", my heart said, "Your face Lord will I seek." Psalm 27:8
